Make a new footplate in fuselage out of 2 sheets of 2mm ply laminated together using epoxy. Used cardboard to initially create a template then use that to cut the actual part. Final trimming accomplished good fit and holes drilled up from the bottom using pre-welded mounting tabs. I still need to take out and varnish but will work on that later since I will have to disassemble everything for final fuselage painting (re-paint white).

The original board was a piece of aluminum diamond board – which I did not like the look of. The new part is made out of laminated birch plywood I had leftover from the wing build. This was a simple mod entailing cutting ply to size and drilling holes up from the bottom using frame mounting tabs I had already welded in place.
