As part of my build, I have been doing some CAD work in order to CNC cut many of my parts. Because of this, I have basically ended up drawing the entire aircraft – at lease up to this point. I plan on completing this as a move forward with my build. I am using Fusion 360 to do this CAD work which is a product I love and use for almost all my CAD. I also use a couple of other tools for my actual cutting depending on what machine I am using, for my CNC router I use Estlcam and for my Co2 Laser cutter I use LaserCAD. For both, I export DXF files out of Fusion 360 using Addon tool “DXF for Laser Cutting”.
Would you be willing to share your fusion file?
I would like to but I do not want to share basically how to build the airplane without giving credit to Leonard – the designer of all the LE’s. There is no way for me to prove that users have purchased the plans – if there was then I would not have a problem sharing. I would also need to get approval from Leonard.
Again, sorry.
I am sharing many of my files that I have generated base off of the plans for many of the parts – am hoping those will help and should help with any builds so long as plans are onhand.
Hey thanks a million for the CAD FILEs really appreciate your kindness and generosity of spirit
your welcome
Have you thought about asking to partner up so that you can also get some credit? I would love the Cad files but also understand giving credit where it’s due. I have inherited a Legal Eagle drop my grandpa and I’m looking to finish it or maybe sell it. I dono yet.
I have made some of my cad files available – link is in the intro page – https://cloud.virtualmakerspace.com/s/6CiNKpPpFpWorwA
I have thought about contacting Mr. Milholland about sharing my entire CAD files but not something I have approached him about yet. Also, my drawings are not complete – I never finished some of the details like all the rigging and whatnot.
Anyway, maybe one of these days đ
